“What’s Cooking?”

Please bear with me.  I can be slightly obsessive when it comes to cravings and I’m on an avocado roll.

I am getting my fill of these creamy green gems and I think I’ll be able to take a breather soon…maybe.

It was another relaxing Sunday and bf made us a gorgeous and filling frittata.

Aren’t these veggies colorful?  Frittatas are a great opportunity to clean out the refrigerator of stray bits and pieces.  Throw in some eggs and you have a well rounded meal.  Sizzling away in this pan is chopped broccoli, red pepper, onion, shallot, salami, jalapeño and crimini mushroom.  Beaten eggs are added along with tomato, seasonings and shredded jack cheese.  Let it all set up in the pan, then finish cooking it in the oven for a few minutes, and voilà!

Just in case cubed salami wasn’t enough, bf fried some sausages too.  Sure, the more the merrier!  He is German, so it’s understandable as you may have seen on my sausage excursion.

See, more avocados.

This is nothing, one time I ate a turkey with sprouts and mayonnaise sandwich every day for almost a month straight.  Can you imagine how easy my grocery shopping was for that month?  Hehe.

A hot cappuccino (in my favorite cups) and our Sunday brunch was complete!
